West Texas Rehab San Angelo Tx is a private, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to providing outpatient care to more than 500 patients per day. WTRC
opened in 1953, is a nationally respected outpatient physical rehabilitation facility.

We all have beenrivaledd by the inspirational story of the West Texas Rehab San Angelo Tx. Perhaps you, a loved one, or a friend has gained from its services. Perhaps you have donated to a fundraiser, or you have been moved by the work the Rehab does to help the great unwashed. Our story commences in 1953 when physicians, teachers, and parents organized the Taylor County Society for Crippled Children in Abilene, Texas.
At thcommencementng, the society provided care in a converted elementary school classroom.
Then, in 1955, the community joined together to construct a permanent facility that could provide rehabilitation care to people of all ages. As they still do today, donations flowed from all over. The land, building materials, even the fence were donated. Building trade unions donated labor so the Rehab could have air conditioning. The Kiwanis Club sponsored the Rehab's first telethon.
Responding to need, in the years since, there have been more than 20 additions to the original facility in Abilene, a state-of-the-art facility has beeramped applied and expanded in San Angelo, and another facility opened in Ozona.
Today's Center has the resources to treanearlyst 1,000 different diagnoses and serves an average of 500 patients each working day.
Not one patient in all those years has been turned away because of an inability to compensate. It is a story of community responsibility and a reservoir of love that breathes in us all.

The Family Support Services program at the West Texas Rehabilitation Center employs certified social worker, who also serves as the Program Director.
The Family Support Program is uniquely designed, in that each employee is a parent to a special needs child and can help relate to other parents and offer empathy and knowledge.
Our staff can help families and parents find the right resources and connect them with other social service agencies and medical programs/assistance that can offer additionalbackupt. If you feel like this is a program that you may benefit from, please feel free to get hold of us.
